The Creative Europe program supports cross-border cooperation projects in the cultural and creative sectors. The aim is to facilitate access to European cultural and creative works and to promote creativity and innovation. Submission is possible until February 23, 2023 via the Funding and Tenders Opportunities Portal (FTOP).

The cross-border collaborations are on three sizes, each with separate calls:

small collaborative projects:
- At least three partners from three different eligible countries.
- EU grant max. 200.000 Euro
- EU funding rate max. 80%

medium cooperation projects:
- At least five partners from five different eligible countries.
- EU grant max. 1 million euros
- EU funding rate max. 70%

large collaborative projects:
- at least ten partners from ten different eligible countries
- EU grant max. 2 million euros
- EU funding rate max. 60%

The maximum duration for all projects is 48 months.

Cooperation projects must be designed and implemented jointly by all partner organizations. The active participation of all partner organizations is therefore required.

Project ideas are funded, that fit the goals and priorities of the funding area are funded. The projects can cover one or more areas in the cultural and creative sector and be interdisciplinary. In addition, each project must have a European added value, i.e. it must be meaningfully implementable with European partner organizations and cannot just as well take place "only" locally or nationally.

A project must contribute to 'Transnational creation and dissemination' or/and 'Innovation' objectives.

At least one and at most two of the following priorities must be addressed by the project:

Audience development, Social inclusion, Sustainability, Digital, International Dimension

Alternatively, projects can select the sector-specific priority, which currently includes the following sectors: Books, Music, Architecture, Heritage, Sustainable Cultural Tourism, Fashion and Design.

In addition, all projects must contribute to the following cross-cutting themes:

Inclusion, diversity, gender equity
Environment and climate protection
